The Misericords of South East Churches.

This page list the churches with misericords on this website in the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Kent, London, Middlesex, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Sussex.

The South east is another of those regions where it is hard to define any commonality between misericords, but it is worth noting the Sussex was the last county in England to accept Christianity, so might have a bearing on its relative paucity of misericords. County border changes have also had an effect, Hampshire had many misericords, but some locations such as Christchurch Priory, which is now in Dorset - this makes for a difficult decision, should I class Christchurch as south east or south west?
