Scarisbrick Hall

History of Scarisbrick Hall, Lancashire.

Although the estate dates back to 1238, the current hall, a grade 1 listed building is a fine example of Victorian Gothic.

It is not known exactly how the misericords arrived at Scarisbrick as they predate the previous hall by over a century, and appear to have originated in the Low Countries and show a strong Flemish influence.
