History of St Michael the Archangel’s Church, Mere, Wiltshire.

Although some parts of the church date from the 13th and 14th centuries, the majority is from a rebuild during the 15th century.  Some 14th century glass remains, as does an alabaster tablet dated 1375.  The majority of the interior is 15th century, including the fine parclose screen.  The Pews date from the 17th century and are Jacobean in style.
