History of SS Peter, Paul and Thomas’ church, Bovey Tracey, Devon.
The Church of St Peter, St Paul and St Thomas of Canterbury has 3 probably late 15th century misericords. Although a church as been present at this site since at least the 10th century, the original was burnt down by Viking raiders in about the year 1000, A replacement stone church was built and burnt down, the current Church of St Peter, St Paul and St Thomas of Canterbury, Bovey Tracey dates from the 14th and 15th centuries.
