As with any site of this type, I rely heavily on the contributions of others, much as I'd like to go to all of the sites and take all of the photos myself, it just isn't going to happen.

Jim Umson and his family first came to my rescue, and forced this site out of the stone age, by bequeathing photos of misericords from 30 or so locations.

Subsequently I have had several other benefactors, including one whose work has enlarged the content of this site out of all recognition, and has given me so much information for the descriptions of each misericord.

Others have contacted me with additional information, corrections and updates on the status of church websites.
